Shaan, co-owner of Next Step Tours, is a chemical engineer with experience in research and manufacturing, having graduated from the University of California, Riverside. Like many young professionals, he faced similar challenges of balancing a demanding career with his faith. Now, as he changed directions to pursue Islamic Studies in Saudi Arabia, Shaan brings a deep understanding of the struggles students and professionals face in maintaining their Deen while navigating the Dunya. His passion lies in helping others find that balance, using both his professional background and Islamic knowledge to guide participants on a transformative and spiritually enriching Umrah journey.

After graduating with his undergraduate degree in Bioengineering, Kamran immediately entered into the work force as a clinical specialist for Medtronic's CRHF Division. With the many ups and downs of the 9-5 lifestyle, he realized the effects his career was having on his relationships and more importantly his faith. Kamran decided to switch things up , leaving his job to purse his masters. On completion, Kamran traveled to Egypt to continue his Islamic studies and rejuvenate his Iman.
